This enamel V&D sign (Vroom and Dreesmann company) originates from ‘Emailleerfabriek ‘De Ysel’ (EDY)’, enamel company ‘de IJssel’, Spankeren (Netherlands). The EDY was, until her bankruptcy in 1975, and important employer for the people in Spankeren en Dieren. The V&D Dutch department store (1887) went bankrupt in 2016.
