Friends of ours bought another house and found a worn cast iron garden bench outside. We have restored this object by sawing planks and discarded hardwood. The last photo below is of the bench in its previous condition, there is a photo of the frame with the slats and there are pictures of the end result. A beautiful object that can be used again for decades!
