Series of glass coasters in their original box. On the inside of the box is a ‘Spenzo’ sticker. Spenzo was a porcelain factory and wholesaler on the Geldersekade in Amsterdam. The name means’ S. Polak and Sons’. Not much else is known about this company, except that it was certainly active in the 1930s and 1950s and purchased dinnerware in Germany and the former Czechoslovakia. These products were marketed as their own brand.
This set is in the original box and comes from a family in Twente (where the glass knife rests also come from).
