This beautiful small display cabinet was made at the end of the Biedermeier period. It is elegant and light as well as ornate in design. It was made by a well trained furniture maker at the start of the industrial era. At this time machines were already used to speed up the construction process. The turned balusters indicate a revival of the Renaissance style. This cabinet can be dated between 1850 and 1870 and originates from Noord Holland. Several (small) restorations are done at different moments. The cabinet shows some minor traces of wear.
