The word ‘tole’ means painted metal. This chandelier presumably originates from Italy where it is made in the middle of the 19th century. This chandelier is in a weatherbeaten, rusty condition; quite some paint has come off. However, the main wiring is replaced and the five candles are fully functional (incl. LED-candles).
