These ten old glass ‘bins’ come from a no longer existing bakery in the beautiful Overijssel city of Delden. They were in a similar but completely worn-out wooden scaffolding and were used to store flour, sugar, cinnamon, clove grit and other bakery supplies. It took an overnight soak to get rid of all the last spice leftovers. The bins are made in a mold and the glass shows small bubbles of air. Three small corners are missing from the fronts of the large containers; perhaps they were put back in their position with a slightly too strong blow? The bins now have a (new) solid oak frame.
Length 56 cm, height 25 cm and depth 20 cm (24 with hand barrels).
